Home is where the heart is

While our readership spans the globe at this point, our local peeps here on the Northshore of Massachusetts are near and dear to our hearts.

If you’re not from around here, you should know that we folks north of Boston are a fiercely opinionated bunch who are notoriously hard to impress. So it means a TON to us that our neighbors are interested in our kitchen antics. <3

When I got the news that we won, I ran around to a handful of local grocery stores happily photographing the issue like a total dork.

Read our ice cream feature in the same issue

In addition to the BONS award, we actually also have a pretty big feature in their ice cream article.

Get my tips for making boozy frozen treats, plus my recipe for Tipsy Witch Granita from my cookbook, Slushed!

That’s this stuff here. It’s a heady concoction of rosemary-infused simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, and herbal Strega (or St. Germain) liquor. One of my all-time summer favs.

  1. CONGRATULATIONS! You have a terrific web site and deserve lots of applause! (The town of Salem should give you an award as well for profiling their city so beautifully!) Cheers, Kathy Maister
